CHRISTMAS FAMILY FESTIVAL

Santas Cottage 600

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November // 10am-4pm

A weekend for families to get festive and celebrate our Cumbrian talent with Christmas craft activities, live musical performances, dance, theatre, films and Santa’s parade.

With live performances by Squeeze Box on Saturday  and Eliza Gutteridge, who performed at Kendal Calling earlier this year on Sunday.

Join Santa and the Snow Queen on stilts in their festive parade.

Throughout Rheged you will also discover craft workshops where you can create an Elf on the Shelf , a festive flag  for Rudolph, personalised wooden tree decorations or paint a bauble or block print a Christmas Card. Our rather special face painter, Helen from Fantasy Faces will be here all weekend. Get creative and design and paint a Christmas eve plate on Saturday.

Join Dave Cryer, from Theatre by the Lake for storytelling or have a go at rehearsing and performing scenes from their Christmas theatre production of The Secret Garden.

Santa will appear out of his magical forest with his Elves from their workshop at 4pm to announce the winner of the Christmas jumper competition and you can then join Santa and the Snow Queen on her giant stilts on their festive parade

Live music from Squeeze Box on Saturday 25th and Eliza Gutteridge  on Sunday 26th November (who performed at Kendal Calling) along with choirs and performers from around Eden from 11am both days. Festive films will be showing throughout the weekend.
