Children’s Activities

As a family business, we understand how important time with your children is – and how much fun it can be. Our rewarding programme of children’s activities might just inspire the whole family.

At our workshops, children can try out a huge range of skills with local experts whose enthusiasm for their specialist activity, be it felting, baking, animation, science or bushcraft is infectious. Ideas for our workshops are sparked by our exhibitions, seasonal themes or innovative technology like 3D printing. Traditional Cumbrian skills are valued alongside exciting new ways of working, and there’s always something new to try in a fun, supportive environment. Individual event details state when an activity requires accompanying adults to have a ticket.

Alongside our creative workshops we host storytelling, comedy, face painting and children’s theatre events that are designed to capture the imagination. We also show children’s films on our enormous 3D screen, and on Saturday mornings between September and April, we hold a children’s film club with tickets at just £2.
