Mountain Arts Festival 2016 – Creative Writing Walk with Professor Terry Gifford

Get out and about (you’ll start near Castle Rock, not at Rheged) and explore your creative reaction to the mountains with Professor Terry Gifford, visiting Professor at Bath Spa University’s Centre for Writing and Environment. He will lead the group up on to Castle Rock, stopping between four and five times for guided note-making.

This event is not based at Rheged. Meet at the car park below Castle Rock of Triermain, St. John’s in the Vale, above Keswick – Grid ref. NY 317196. Walking boots, waterproof clothing, notebook and pencil essential.

The Mountain Arts Festival 2016 brings together an exceptional group of artists, climbers, speakers and filmmakers for a celebration of the Arts in the context of mountainous landscape. Proceeds from the Mountain Arts Festival will support the Nepal Earthquake Appeal of Community Action Nepal. Find out more at www.themountainartsfestival.com
