KESWICK FILM CLUB’s film event THE GRADUATE – 50th Anniversary screening with guest speakers

Join Keswick Film Club at Rheged for a special ‘60’s film evening to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the great classic, ‘The Graduate’ which has been an huge hit since it was released in 1967. Dustin Hoffman plays the title role, Benjamin Braddock, a disaffected young man who returns to his family home after graduating; seduced by a much older woman, Mrs Robinson, The Graduate challenged many values upheld by the older generation in 1960’s suburban life. Don’t miss the recently re-released 4K digital version on Rheged’s big screen,  and discussion with two professors from University College London who will share 1960’s film memories of British cinema-goers collected over the last two years. Feel free to bring along your thoughts to share and add your 60’s film memories to the collection.
