Cushion Making With Ashlea Ginesi of Ashlea’s Fine Furnishings
Have you ever wanted to design and make your own soft furnishings? In this workshop, you will learn some of the techniques to create beautiful, hand crafted furnishings for your home, that you can be proud of. The main focus is a detailed demonstration on how to make a beautiful piped zipped cushion – the professional way, with notes and small techniques samples to take away (2 hour session)
Ashlea has always had passion for design and interiors and has loved to sew from a young age. She began her design career at Cumbria Institute of the Arts studying Art and Design, continuing her studies at Manchester Metropolitan University in Contemporary Craft, with a focus on textiles and ceramics. Upon leaving University, Ashlea began a placement with the co-curator of the show, Maureen Whitemore of Whitemore and Thwaytes where she learnt many of her skills in soft furnishings. Now with years of experience in the trade, Ashlea is highly skilled and qualified and offers a very bespoke and specialist service.
You must also have a show ticket for the day of your masterclass. Our experts are providing these classes at a special rate to support the show.
