11 am | Duration 45 minutes | Talk: ‘Total Home Automation’ with Michael Glarvey of Luuxx Home Automation

Michael will explain how to control your audio visual and smart home technologies. The last 10 years has seen a huge rise in the use of hi-tech equipment in the average person’s home.  With the ever increasing push towards the ‘Digital Home’, many homeowners now have more remote controls and Smart Phone Apps than one dares to imagine.  The answer to this is Home Automation….or a simpler description… A Connected Home.

A Connected Home no longer relies on you using dozens of controls to do your daily tasks.  Instead, it takes your TVs, lighting, heating, blinds, front door, security alarm etc and makes them work together, how you want them to work.  Why can’t you press one button and have your lights turn on, set the heating to the desired temperature, and turn your TV on to your favourite channel? Why can’t you have your TV set show CCTV footage of your front door when the doorbell is pressed?.. well that’s exactly what Home Automation does.

Home Automation takes control of all your home technologies (and the control of some things you never thought possible) and allows them to work how you want them to work, when you want them to work, and in the simplest way possible, combining with elements of interior design! So why use Home Automation?  The benefits are lengthy and varied, but here are a few…. Simpler use of technology, create significant energy savings, assist home owners with limited mobility, and provide the entertainment options that your home has been crying out for.
