Beginners Guide to Photoshop with Emma Campbell
A favourite with many photographers, Photoshop is a useful piece of software used to enhance photographs. However, it also comes with many different features, so where do you start? Emma will guide you through some of the basic key areas, to help you bring out the best in your work.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to find their way around the dashboard with ease and identify key toolbar features, to bring their photographs alive. You’ll also explore additional settings that can alter the look and feel of your photographs, as well as being introduced to the fantastic world of ‘Actions’.
Participants should bring a fully charged laptop with Photoshop already installed (ideally Photoshop CC 2018). A free 7-day trial can be found at https://www.adobe.com/uk/products/photoshop/free-trial-download.html plus an image or two you would like to work on and transform.
A professional photographer since the 1990’s, Emma originally worked for the equestrian press producing images from film, with her Pentax K100 and ME Super cameras. Towards the end of the 1990’s the digital age was developing and she quickly started using Macromedia and Adobe software, as well as getting her first digital camera. For the last 19 years, Photoshop has been fundamental in helping her develop her style and encouraging her creative work.
