Art print – Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Icefall
This is a reproduction of an original artwork created by Derek Eland as a result of his 6-week residency at Everest Base Camp. Working from original sketches produced while at Base Camp, Derek produced a number of one-off artworks to sell alongside the exhibition. This reproduction shows the thick layering of wax Derek used to build up the depiction of the Khumbu Icefall in his painting. The trademark vivid yellow of the tents contrasts with the textured white to create a very dramatic image, captured here in a high quality, pin sharp reproduction.
