Our beautiful landscape in Cumbria, our ponies and the vibrant colours surrounding us were integral to the designs. Our range is designed in Cumbria. The fine bone china is traditionally made in Stoke on Trent with the majority of giftware sourced in the UK.

I design and make my Porcelain hand-built vessels and jewellery in my studio at Brougham Hall. There are many aspects to my designs that are generally inspired by nostalgia. My making methods have been carefully developed over time from my interest in all things textiles, whether it be highly embroidered Elizabethan costume or, more practically, how to convey stitch processes whilst using clay as the material.

Mary’s pots are wheel thrown and altered. They are glazed in colours inspired by the Lakeland seasons. The work is a celebration of food and drink. Colour and shape is used to inspire the mind and create a “Visual Feast” All work is oven proof and dishwasher safe.

Jane Bradley is a basketmaker living and working in South Lakeland. She makes baskets from willow, rush and other hedgerow plants and runs basketry courses for all ages. One of her rush handbags won the award for ‘Best Basket’ in a competition run by the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers in 2014. She is a member of the Cumbria Basketmakers Group.

Jo Vincent creates bespoke architectural glass and interior accessories for private and commercial clients. From large scale chandeliers, windows and wall panels to kitchen splasbacks, door handles and mirrors. She mainly works to commission and welcomes visitors to her studio in Kendal to discuss projects, view samples and buy finished pieces.

Laura Sowerby is a new, small design company based in the Lake District. From her joyously detailed and bold linocut prints, Laura has created repeat patterns for furnishings featuring intricate botanical forms which reflect a love of nature and colour. From these designs, we make a stylish and colourful range of products for the home with an ebullient, hand printed, artisanal feel.

I am a ceramic artist and my work uses a slab construction, mostly fired to stoneware. I make small tealight holders, larger candle-holders and lamps as well as framed relief pictures and sculptures of landscapes with hills, trees, buildings etc. I am happy to make small pieces at my stand during the show so that people can see how I work.
