Since the floods in Cumbria last November, our resilient communities have been working hard to return to normal. They are keen to welcome visitors once again for great British breaks, so to aid the county’s recovery Cumbria Tourism has launched the ‘WISH YOU WERE HERE’ campaign to create a unique collection of priceless postcards for Cumbria.

Cumbria Tourism wrote to Britain's most famous faces and invited them to write a postcard to Cumbria in support of the county and thanks to their overwhelming support we now boast a very special collection of over 100 drawings, paintings, messages and postcards all sent by the celebrities themselves.

The Wish You Were Here Exhibition which includes posctards from Dame Judi Dench, Richard E.Grant, Sir Patrick Stewart, Tess Daly, Ricky Tomlinson, Jonny Wilkson, Andrew Flintoff and The Saturdays, the exhibition is spending the summer touring around Cumbria and is free to all. It will be at Rheged from 6th to 24th September.
