The Rheged Centre will be host to The Cumbrian Fine Art & Antiques Fair this weekend, from 16th - 18th May. Within this fantastic setting, 30 exhibitors are ready to do business and, as dealers come from all over Britain, there is friendly competition when it comes to price, with items ranging from £25 to in excess of £100,000. Visitors to this stunning event will have the opportunity to browse amongst a superb selection of antiques and fine art from across Britain and Europe. These specialities include 17th and 18th Century furniture, silver, Persian rugs, interesting jewellery from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco periods, English and European ceramics, oils, watercolours, drawings, original prints, glass, lamps, mirrors and lots more - a real Aladdin's cave! Highlights include exhibits of some important works by Petro Psaier - a supreme talent who was instrumental in the development of much of Andy Warhol's work. Psaier was commissioned by many famous stars from the music and film business including Keith Moon, Oliver Reed and Michael Caine throughout the 1970s to produce statement pieces for their lavish mansions. If it's a beautiful piece of jewellery you are looking for then you will be sure to find it at this event. We have exhibitors travelling from London, North Wales and Lancashire to exhibit their stunning pieces for the Cumbrian visitors. Whether browsing or buying, the fair will not only be an interesting day but also offers a wonderful opportunity to make a sound investment.
