Rory Stewart the MP for Penrith and the Border is hosting a Conference at Rheged on 18 September. It will be opened by The Hon. Ed Vaizey, Minister for Broadband. Speakers will include Bill Murphy, Managing Director NGA BT Group, Dr Stuart Burgess the Chairman of the Commission for Rural Communities and representatives of Cumbria’s numerous and highly innovative Community Projects delivering NGA, like Cybermoor in Alston. The aim of the Conference is to explore the ways in which industry, government and local people can work together to bring Broadband to the local area.
