Lake Artists Winter Exhibition 2011

For more than 100 years the prestigious Lake Artists Society has shown Summer Exhibitions of their work in Grasmere.  For the fifth successive year, the Society will be holding a Winter Exhibition at Rheged. This year for the first time the exhibition will appear in the new Gallery at Rheged, featuring more than 150 original works of art and prints.

The society has more than forty members, all of whom contribute several works of art each to the Winter Exhibition.  With all this work for sale it is the perfect opportunity to purchase artworks from some of Cumbria’s most established artists, either for yourself or just in time for a Christmas present. Some of the artists included in the exhibition are Alan Stones, Martin Greenland, Vivienne Pooley, Phil Hobbs, Patrick Cleary, Ceri Allen, and Fiona Clucas to name only a few.

There will also be limited edition prints, books and gift cards available from the Gallery Shop as well as an inspirational range of seasonal gifts and artisan products.
