Following the success of our first Great Northern Cheese Festival last year, this year's is bigger and better with the addition of creative children’s activities and workshops.

Meet the producers, watch demos, sample and purchase cheese and cheese related produce from over 40 stallholders including artisan cheeses from Cumbria.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY IN MOUNTAIN HALL
• 10.45am Cheese making demonstration
• 11.45am British cheese - the producers and their stories
• 12.30pm The story of Lancashire cheese by Dewlay
• 1.15pm Cheese classification and beer masterclass with Hawkshead Brewery
• 2.15pm Cheese making demonstration
• 3.00pm Ready, steady cheese cook off!  Watch Rheged's

• Cheese themed menus and speciality foods in our cafés
