The Food and Drink Information Station can be found in our Taste Farm Shop at Rheged.
A range of unusual food experiences can be booked including cookery courses in stately homes, make your own smokery, take a food safari with a celebrity chef, brewery tours, bread making courses, lessons in how to grow vegetables and catching and smoking your own fish.
Touchscreens provide access to foodie websites and provide the opportunity to learn the rich stories behind Cumbrian food, such as how the spice trade in Whitehaven gave Cumbria its distinctive flavours.
You'll also find a wide range of Cumbrian food books and a monthly news section produced by Grasmere based Artisan Food e-magazine featuring pub walks, what's in season, award winning food producers, and up and coming food events.
